With dedication he has quickly developed into a great quarterback.

I do worry how many seasons can he run like that.

He threw for 9,000 yards in 3 years of college.

If he learns to eventually slide and hop out of bounds more quickly to save his body, he’ll last long enough.

Damn that’s ALMOST twice as much as Joe Burrow will throw for in ONE SEASON

So have over 200 other guys many of whom have never seen a start in the NFL.

Lamar Jackson appears to be good at sport.

I agree.

And I did not mean to say he was horrible when he arrived in the NFL. I meant he has worked to develop his game and is better.

The all time college passing leaders top 10

Case Keenum
Timmy Chang
Landry Jones
Graham Harrell
Ty Detmer
Kellen Moore
Baker Mayfield
Luke Falk
Colt Brennan
Rakeem Cato
11. Mason Rudolph

some real greats there

Baker Mayfield already the best NFL player on this list and other than Keenum and Detmer the others have little to no NFL career

College passing yards mean nothing in the NFL

That being said Jackson is a great talent and probably better than Vick was at both aspects running and passing.

Saying he entered as only an athlete is very disingenuous.

Just because some scouts didnt value his throwing lent.

I did not mean he was ONLY an athlete but he was not where he is now at a qb. Most teams looked at him as a project which is why he went at 32. The gist of my post is the hard work he has put in to get to MVP level that quickly.

Just want to point out that I was on the Lamar can be great/his o-line was dookie hype train in the off-season.

Hell his whole supporting cast was trash his 3 years as a starter. Put him on Alabama or Clemson or Ohio State for those 3 seasons and they don’t lose a game.

It’s the wonderlic and his lack of ability to speak. I thought he was an idiot.

Either he’s smarter than he sounds and tests or none of that shite matters anymore in today’s nfl

Yeah, he has been great. Someone needs to be screaming at him to avoid contact tho. He doesn't have the body. Cam did and his career as a productive QB may be over.

ALL came from the Air Raid tree, except for Colt who came from the Run and Shoot. Lamar did not

Yeah but Cam has a great career and he wouldn’t have had it without being able to take the contact. As soon as Lamar Jackson is “too valuable” to run into the shite he's no longer Lamar Jackson. All careers are different. I say ball out and win as much as possible while the getting is good.
