We are headed to Destrehan from West Monroe this Friday. Any good suggestions for seafood in that area? We do not like Middendorf's and would prefer to be closer to Destrehan when we eat. If not seafood, any other recommendations?
TIA

Not sure what’s in Destrehan, but Kenner Seafood, Harbor and Williams Seafood are all with 15 min of Dhan.

Truck farm tavern down the road in St. Rose is surprisingly good. We usually get 4-5 apps and have always enjoyed it.

2. Port Side Grill
3. Truck Farm Tavern
I've eaten at all three. Id rate them in this order.

There is a little seafood place a little up river from Destrehan that is really good. I think it’s called the Seafood Pot or something like that

Yes, the Seafood Pot is the boiled/fried seafood joint, which has a drive thru and daiquiris.
As mentioned, Truck Farm Tavern is also good.
My personal fave is St Rose Tavern, located in New Sarpy. Good old school roast beef poboy, stuffed crabs, a home cooking style daily special. Drink a craft beer, play some video poker, hang out with the locals.

Truck Farm Tavern and it’s not even close.

Eh, Truck Farm used to be significantly better. It’s not quite as good as it was when Brock May was still involved.
Other area options include decent sushi at Taste of Tokyo or old school greasy but good burgers at the FrosTop.

Truck Farm Tavern is awesome.
Chef Scott Bourgeois the owner has been there for years and was the chef since a month or two after opening. He’s been doing a fantastic job and he said he basically opened the place after chef Brock sold the place to him two months after opening, Scott was
the sous chef at Cowbell for years too.
Their steaks and bbq are fantastic. Call and check their hours because they have wierd hours sometimes.

It's been several years, but we enjoyed Taste of Tokyo.

We're heading down too and wanted to avoid Mittendorfs, glad this question was asked.
