Ive always wondered. Out of every coach in college football, Ed knew which NFL assistant would be a hoss.
What a badass.

Believe Coach O saw him coaching at a camp.

It was Ensminger who made the suggestion to Coach O after he was in a meeting with the Saints offensive staff. LINK

They film studied with the Saints and Brady stood out. After the Saints season ended O hired him.

Last summer, Ed Orgeron and the LSU coaching staff gathered inside the Tigers football facilities for a presentation. It was to learn about the New Orleans Saints offense from their offensive coordinator, Pete Carmichael, who had coached with Orgeron when they were both Saints assistants in 2008.
Carmichael brought along a young and fervent offensive assistant, who at one point took over the presentation and captivated the LSU coaching staff with his command of schemes and strategies.

Someone photoshopped a binder picture and the page said “gon get burrow”
We should photoshop one that says “gon get Brady”

The entire saints staff was doing presentations and his specific presentation was on RPOs. It blew O and E away.

The name of the book he is reading is called "No Excuses"...

This is pretty well known.
They visited the Saints and Brady gave a presentation and impressed him.

Coach O is a really good evaluator of talent. Not only when it comes to players abilities and talents, but with coaches and their skill and talent levels. He's just got a great intuition and natural discernment for spotting talent. That's awesome and LSU will be in great shape as long as we have coach O running this bitch. He's creating a monster I'm telling you. This LSU program is going to be something like we have never experienced yet as LSU football fans. We are going to look back 10 years from now and say "damn, if you would have told me we would have accomplished this ten years ago...". It's going to be a hell of a ride and I'm so glad Ed O is going to be the coach that gets LSU football to its fullest potential. Not saban, not miles, Ed Orgeron. It's happening and we comin'. Geaux Tigers!

Wasn’t Peyton pissed about losing him? I take it there’s no chance of any future meetings this summer with the defensive staff

The Saints seem to be doing just fine this year without Brady, so let’s hope Peyton has forgiven Coach O, My guess is more was made about Peyton’s purported reaction than was warranted.

If I remember correctly from what I've previously read is the Saints put on an offensive clinic and Joe Brady was one of the presenters at that clinic and he impressed the LSU coaching staff.
Subsequently, Ensminger and Brady became good friends and through that friendship, they each compared notes together.
Then from that friendship, Ensminger approached Ed O about hiring Brady to replace the previous Passing Game Coordinator who was retiring again. Ed O agreed, and that's how Brady came to LSU.
It's been magic in a bottle ever since.
