Wow...that was my first game in Tiger Stadium. I remember being in awe as I walked up to the stadium. The results of the game were less inspiring.

Watched the first half in the west upper deck, got soaked, watched the second half at Murphy's.

By today's weather rules, that game would've been called. We could have been spared that embarrassing moment in Tiger Stadium history.

I don't remember much about that game except water. Lots and lots of water.
was in the SEZ, rain was blowing sideways, had a hefty trash bag with holes cut out for head and arms on, soaked to the bone

I was there. I only brought a poncho and everyone around us had umbrellas so all the water that started at the top of the student section made its way down all those umbrellas into the hole left by my stupidity. We eventually got so tired of it we started catching water in our cups and throwing it back up hill. If you have ever seen the swirl of mist as a crop duster makes his run down a field that is what the rain looked like in Tiger Stadium that night. It was falling down into the bowl then the wind was blowing it back up both sides in a swirl of water, lost umbrellas and sadness. They banned umbrellas in the stadium after that night.
