The "most passing yards in a season" record is 4,275 yds, by Tim Couch; "TDs in a season" is 44, by Drew Lock....

Joe is now at 3,687 yds and 38 TDs...

...So Joe only needs 589 yds, and 7 TDs in the rest of his season to hold both records.... I'm guessing he'll have both by the end of the TexA&M game!

Does the post season count towards this record or does only the regular season count?

it's a typo/brainfart... i typed the '87' from Joe's total in Couch's number, too - should be 4275

Couch vs Manning in 97 was sick. Wanna say they combined for 1,100 yards that game.

in seasons prior to 02, bowl stats generally aren't included. so Couch is missing an additional 336 yards from his bowl game (for a total if 4611) if Wiki is right.

Joe should break that anyway, but maybe in 1 more game than Couch had.
