Everyone screeming for a Aranda's head needs to delete their accounts.

This isn't about Aranda, it's about the players.

1. Delpit's injury is obviously hurting him. He can't move good on it yet.

2. We've missed Todd Harris ALL year.

3. We don't have a commander at MLBer. This has affected us ALL year. Losing Devin White was HUGE.

4. The somewhat of a commander (but not much) we had in Divinity is no longer out there. Who took his place? Young guys.

5. It's obvious, to anyone who knows football, that Aranda has been trying different schemes against these lesser teams all year - some of them work very well (with our player set), some of them don't.

6. Coming into this game, LSU had a top 10 rush defense IN THE COUNTRY - I'm curious, what/who do you guys contribute this to?

7. Ole Miss has a top 10 rush offense in the country. They rushed for 279 on Bama.

8. Our defense has stepped up in ALL crucial moments this season and have been successful. We have never been in jeopardy of losing a game - think about that. Then look at the teams we've beaten.

9. IT'S OLE MISS!! COMING OFF OF A BAMA WIN!! - Clearly they weren't as motivated for this game and understandably so!

10. 10-0 (6-0)

Leave to the rant to melt after a win. You people are absolutely pathetic!

Your defensive line was getting moved back all night.

That's very concerning.

Too much said about this - even if true. This highlights the lack of skill at the other positions.

Meh, Aranda sucks. Need to accept it. LSU offense will carry this team.

1. Delpit's injury is obviously hurting him. He can't move good on it yet. -- Whose fault is it he's still playing? Coaches make lineup decisions

2. We've missed Todd Harris ALL year. -- It's a football team. People get hurt. You will not go through a season without injuries. Next man up, especially when you recruit the way LSU is supposed to be recruiting.

3. We don't have a commander at MLBer. This has affected us ALL year. Losing Devin White was HUGE. -- We've known for three years we'd be without him. Develop a leader. Your program doesn't stop because someone graduates or leaves.

4. The somewhat of a commander (but not much) we had in Divinity is no longer out there. Who took his place? Young guys. -- They allegedly have talent. They're either not being developed, not being coached well or they were bad recruiting choices. Still on the coaches.

5. It's obvious, to anyone who knows football, that Aranda has been trying different schemes against these lesser teams all year - some of them work very well (with our player set), some of them don't. -- Football games are not laboratories. Nick Saban got an already-hurt Tua knocked out for the season because he wanted to work on 2-minute offense. That's why you have practice.

6. Coming into this game, LSU had a top 10 rush defense IN THE COUNTRY - I'm curious, what/who do you guys contribute this to? -- Blowouts where teams abandoned the run and had to pass to try to catch up. Ole Miss' QB ran for more than 200 yards.

7. Ole Miss has a top 10 rush offense in the country. They rushed for 279 on Bama. -- Good for them. Alabama's defense isn't that good, either. We proved that last week.

8. Our defense has stepped up in ALL crucial moments this season and have been successful. We have never been in jeopardy of losing a game - think about that. Then look at the teams we've beaten. -- We needed onside kick recoveries to hold off Auburn and Alabama because of a late score allowed by the defense in each game.

9. IT'S OLE MISS!! COMING OFF OF A BAMA WIN!! - Clearly they weren't as motivated for this game and understandably so! -- LSU was up 28-0 at one point. They were motivated.

10. 10-0 (6-0)

Leave to the rant to melt after a win. You people are absolutely pathetic! -- Will not win the national championship with this defense unless it improves fast.

So tired of hearing this stat! You do realize the cupcake games we played this year, right? The inferior teams we played basically abandon the run in first quarter, and the teams that kept it respectable had decent rushing stats.. Stats don’t lie, but they don’t always tell the truth!

I'm trying to look at it on the bright side, for once. We could become the first team in history to win a National Championship after giving up 400 yards rushing in a game.

Coach O really needs to hang on to those stud defensive commits and land Webb and at least one more (like Burch). Anyone who thinks we shouldn't drop Max Johnson for a stud LBer or DT didn't watch the game last night.

You're wasting your breath (or finger movement). They're not gonna listen.

Just accept that a large majority of the LSU fanbase is a bunch of fricking retarded nimrods.

the true measure of a great coach is what they do with lesser players. Hell, even I could be a competent DC if I had an entire roster of elite players.

Aranda should earn that huge salary by putting an effective D on the field despite holes in the roster.

And you're blaming the players, but remind me - whose job is it to recruit, develop, and motivate our defensive players?

Our defense has been suspect for some time. Time for Aranda to step up or step out!

I upvoted because I agree and this board was and has become insufferable, after a win.

It was 28-0, then went to crap. So this one makes no sense, they came out just fine. They just failed to do pretty much anything right on D after that. Scheme, angles, technique spinning themselves in circles, not wrapping up. The only times it worked out were when Ole Miss did something dumb like decide to throw it instead of just run through gaping holes.

600+ yards, there is no denying it was a problem. The reasons can be plentiful, and they are. Scheme is definitely one and not having a true leader on the field keeping everyone in position/check is another.

Not saying he should be fired, only asking if he is worth what we are paying, or do we need to change how we think about DC's in general. As offenses have changed, maybe what Aranda does is as good as it gets??
