Why are his biggest supporters the same ones that were Os biggest detractors?

Is it scheme or talent?

If talent is your answer where would you say we rank in defensive talent...top 10, 20, or worse?

Is his scheme only effective with top notch talent and depth...seems to me a defensive genius would adapt to his personnel and scheme to hide deficiencies.

What needs to be done to correct our defense or is this just something we have to expect from now on? We have become a big 12 defense.

I don't really consider myself an "Aranda Supporter" although I've largely defended him this year. (other than the last TD vs Bama)

But, it's very challenging to tell because we really have no disruptors on the DL in terms of affecting the passing game. Everyone loves them some Chaisson but meh is all I have to say there.

And, in the back end, it just seems very obvious that Delpit is playing hurt.

Kary Vincent is finally playing a little football, but for a while, he was a completely liability not only in coverage but in tackling.

I don't know why we haven't landed the level of talent we need on that side of the ball, but, I simply don't think we have. Maybe that's his fault? Dunno

And in the second half of most games a weak Big 12 defense!

SIX HUNDRED and 14 yards to Ole Miss!

Aranda's done, he needs to be playing chess in Central Park, not coaching football for 2.5 Mil a year!

Remember we had the best LB on the team simply walk away because he liked to do something else than play football.

Stop trying to do this. None of you are ever right with your perceived groupings.

What’s going to be said when O retains Aranda ? Y’all gonna turn on O too?

Of course the fan base should want better. If our D plays like this next year then yeah maybe Arandas seat should get scorching hot but it’s obvious that talent is the issue right now.

I wonder just how healthy the defense is. We could use Michael Divinity for sure, but the dang safties were out of position much of the second half.

I have to conclude that the defense is below average as their stats indicate. The pass defense is below average all year and the last two games the run defense has been gashed for huge plays.

This is not a championship defense.

He had lesser defensive talent at previous spots. For some reason, his style is not reaching this team. He might be cerebral, but it is time for him to start coaching with more demonstrable passion.

He was the most significant holdover from the previous regime. According to them Aranda propped up O.

Aranda is the “Professor”. He got schooled in the second half last night.

We must get defensive linemen that are better than our current ones. Fehoko and Lawrence are just not good at this game. Chaisson has put together a decent year, as an outside linebacker, not as a pass rusher.

Our Ends are just not good at all at containment, they aren't good at pressuring the passer, they just are not good.

They shut it down in locker room at half. Kids quit playing. It happens.

LSU is playing 4D chess right now.
We may give up a bunch of yards and 20-27 points to Arkansas as well.

When the tourney begins, we’ll be ready!

We do not have top notch line of scrimmage talent on defense. Have not had it in years. Th recruiting class changes that. But they will be freshman.

Other teams are trying to win and scheme We did just beat Alabama. Kids cannot and do not have the same focus after that kind of game.

Texas hashed us. Northwestern state moved the ball on our defense. Bama torched our defense. Florida torched our defense. Vandy scored 24 points on our defense and had a number of big plays. None of,this,is,new.

There have been same rumblings around the league that other teams have figured out Aranda scheme.

Have no short term alternative other than get better next week. Playing Arkansas is a blessing and a curse. We will not have to play better to beat them badly
