Is this accurate?

Has Louisiana gone beyond the point where the takers outnumber the makers?

No, he won because Eddie Rispone brought nothing substantial to the table.

Correct, he needed to promise freebies. That's what many do-nothings consider substantial.

Louisiana Republicans don’t want welfare reform. That would hurt them just as much as the Dems.

Was the R that bad of a candidate? Alabama got Doug Jones because Roy Moore was truly an awful candidate that the Rs got through somehow.

You might as well have just put a cardboard cutout of the letter R up there. His whole campaign was devoid of meaningful policy discussion and fully dependent on being Tiny Trump.

Figures you'd label someone a "gimmedat" for wanting to *keep* more of his own money.

Pathetic.

Literally had people passing memos saying to vote for JBE bc Rispone would end homestead exemption. These people are morons.

Louisiana has only had 4 Republican governors in the last 140 years, don't act like it was his to lose. This isn't unprecedented, and considering how close it was it's hard to point fingers at flaws in the campaign.
