To the hindsighters of Tua's injury

How many of you posted on here pre-game that he should not play? I've searched but I can't find the thread where at least half of this board said Tua shouldn't have played. Surely there was a thread about it taking into account the coverage the kid and his ankle are getting post game. Can someone find that thread where so much concern was being espoused for Tua saying he shouldn't play?
Thanks.
Thanks.

He shouldnt have played bc strategically it would have lended even more credence to the "wow he really wasnt right for LSU and tweaked it more by playing that game" playoff argument.
Bama could have had their cake (make their quality loss argument even stronger) and eaten it too (do the right thing for Tuas future, won the game, get their QB of future more experience). Too bad Saban only cares about his players tangentially and will literally walk past their writhing bodies to go study film.

So did you express this sentiment prior to the game or did you wait to make a point after the injury?

You of all people should appreciate that.

I would have taken him out by the time he got hurt - I honestly believe that to be true. I wasnt watching that game so I didnt make any comments about it at the time though.

No I still remember Spurrier running Lattimore into the ground at SC and not giving a frick when the kid got seriously injured and lost his career. I was disgusted by it.

Bama’s team doctors should have read Tigerdroppings before they made their decision to clear Tua

As crappy as Bama looked against LSU in the first half, he totally should have played some yesterday. Forget about the playoffs, they won't beat Auburn unless they improve and you don't improve if you don't play

Tua’s injury was a freak accident. It had nothing to do with his ankle.
Watch the video of it. His upper leg is perpendicular to the ground when the guy lands right on top of him, dislocating his hip.
He was just unlucky.

Exactly my point. No one really cared until that point, otherwise the board would have had multiple threads prior to the game about his not needing to play because of his ankle. I didn't see any.

Injuries can happen any play, but Saban needs to man up and sit his QB down when up 35-7.
Feel like it is a cop out saying Tua was only in the game there bc he needed practice for the 2 minute drill.

Why would an LSU fan care enough to write whether or not he should play?
It just seemed like common sense to let him recover for their last big game. And also to add to the argument that he wasn't 100% for LSU.
I was actually glad when he started, as it seemed to take away one of their excuses for losing to LSU.
To me, the decision to play or not against MSU should have been between Tua, his parents, the med staff and Saban. If he he wasn't up to play, I'd put equal blame on each of them.
Oh well. Like Saban said after the half, "too bad."

His injured ankle affected mobility which led to likelihood of big hits just like that.
Yes, it was a freak accident but it was also preventable. Especially up 35-7 against a bottom feeder team

As much as I dislike Bama and Saban, I don't know that I find huge fault with him playing one more series to finish out the half.
If you're gonna play, play. If he wasn't healthy enough to play, it should've been a group decision. If the group decision was, "when we get up by 28 points, we'll sit him," then do it. Otherwise, finishing the half doesn't seem crazy.
But it's an easy topic to pile on Saban, so why the heck not? He likes to apply pressure, I'm sure he enjoys getting a little.

There’s no coach in the country that would’ve pulled him out in that spot before half

I called in and told Pawl he shouldn’t play on Friday.
Sorry if you missed it.

I have, said he should leave and let his agent pay a trainer to get him healthy. He has nothing to prove, and everything to lose, now that they loss the LSU game.
High ankle sprains do not heal while practicing and playing.
And because of him having that injury, he's going to have to over compensate and not try to re-injure that while exposing other muscles and bones, because he's a walking wounded.
Players owe programs nothing, just like programs owe players nothing. And they certainly don't owe the coaches a thing.

This isn’t new to Nicky. In 2002, up 36-7 at Florida, he and Jimbo had Matt Mauck running QB draws. He broke his foot and was done for the year.
