overnight shooting incident in the Sherwood Forest area led to one man’s injury.

Officials confirm that a man was shot in the 10000th block of Ranchwood Drive.

You know there is serious retaliation beef in this city when thugs are out in 25 degree weather shooting. This is not going to get better. Zero arrests. Likely zero leads.

I used to have friends that lived there and I spent time in their homes. It was a nice, quiet street. Is it the hood now?

Most of it is fine. There are some areas that get more spillover crime than they used to. It's such a huge neighborhood though.

I was actually speaking of the street itself, Ranchwood. It was an upper blue collar to middle white collar street. There were a bunch of kids and they were decent families.

it was broken into while we were at her funeral...

Not sure about that street. I know that area across Florida from McGehee is pretty hood now.

Imagine if they put a Popeyes in the middle of Sherwood Forest, then the white population would be getting shot up drastically.

Now I think it is a payday loan.

Notice how this was not far from the shooting off Cedarcrest?

That whole area going down.

NBR is creeping up on it faster than people think.

Soon I-12 will be the line for NBR and not Florida Blvd.

my in-laws live on that street. They bought a flood house in 2016, and renovated it. It's not the nicest part of town, but I wouldn't go as far to call it hood........yet

You familiar with Sherwood? The Hood is already between I-12 and Florida.

Can you say “Blvd De Province”?

The whole south of Florida or I-12 is a pretty general rule. St Jean and that hood at the corner of S Harrells Ferry and O'Neal have been bad for decades.

Not sure what it’s like these days

My parents live on Ranchwood in the same house I grew up in. They don't remember seeing any police cars or anything last night. My dad would definitely notice that shite.

It's not the hood. Just not quite as upper middle class as it used to be. The problem is the property crime in that area. Cars and houses are getting broken in to more often than they used to.

And good luck actually receiving a package you order around Christmas time. They have had stuff stolen off their porch multiple times.

I think that area as a whole has gotten better since the flood though. A lot of people rebuilt

I owned property in Red Oaks and that area gone way down. The thugs made their way from around Belaire into Sherwood.

1960’s - 1980’s that was a nice area and Florida Blvd was booming. Now except a few shopping centers remodels in what I would consider Florida Blvd East the is area going down the drain.

Anything about a half eaten Spicy Chicken Sandwich or a Popeye's wrapper near the body?

Wrong side of I-12.

It's a shame that the area has gone down. St. Thomas More at one time was a safe area.

Guhd aftanoon. 2 more shootings within a fricking hour in BR.

1 fatal an hour ago off North Ardenwood

1 reported 15 minutes ago at North Foster.

I parlayed 3 before midnight to win a thousand. I just need a shooting or stabbing off Eddie Robinson by midnight. I already had N Foster and M Ardenwood.
