Incredibly violent start of the weekend for BR. And it’s only mid day on a Saturday

As long as it stays out of neighborhoods where productive citizens live I kind of don't care. I feel bad about that but I've become a little numb about it over the years I guess.

20-25 years ago, those areas weren’t that bad, now they are going hood. They must reproduce like cockroaches. I don’t know what’s good and what’s not in BR anymore and I live close.

Agreed. Thugs killing thugs is one thing, but when the TPOS population creeps into neighborhoods of productive members of society live, that’s the boiling point.

North Ardenwood Dr is an absolute shite hole.

I'm fairly well versed in this unfortunately.

My mom lived on S Ardenwood when I was a kid and it was amazing at the difference that crossing Florida Blvd made.

Something is going on in the thug world.

Shooting this afternoon off North Sherwood and 1 hr later off N Foster during the afternoon.

N Sherwood area 3 pm
LINK

N Foster area around 4pm

I would start putting pressure on the low level dealers and buyers slow this down.

I'll set the over/under for whole day at 3.5 shootings.

You can build Plank Road up as much as you want. What is that going to do for all of the NBR population? A top golf or a Ruffinos off Plank will not stop what is inevitable. Precisely why we should NOT throw a DIME to "rebuild" NBR. Shootings will not he stopped by economic progress.

Then what do you recommend?

Fire bomb? Do you think we can arrest and prison our way to a prosperous BR? State take over of the schools? Economic incentive to add jobs to the area?

I think we should stop increasing welfare payments and food stamps after 2 kids. It would be messy and ugly. We need to make having 6 kids out of wedlock painful. We won't though and this will continue.

I always suggest the Roving Sniper program but nobody ever takes it serious. You take 12 BR city police and put them in different places (High crime areas) every night. When they see a felony, they eliminate the felon.

Soon, people will stop wanting to commit felonies and they can be disbanded. Then we can all eat our gumbo in peace.

Real problem.

BRPD and the Sheriff knows who the players are and the levels.
Big players have money to get off.
Middle players same.

It is the small dealers and buyers that you can typically put pressure on that is causing the problems.

No matter how many officers, deputy's, armed guards, robots with weapons, etc if the judges do not punish them with more than a slap on the wrist the problem will continue to exist.

Jails are suppose to be punishment not a place where you get three square meals waiting around to get out.

The people it hurts is the elderly, poor single parents, and poor families who have limited choices. They live next to this trash and their kids are exposed to this which a lot of them lose their kids to drugs around 12 yrs old.
