Haven't seen this recurring thread in a while. Anybody know of anywhere that carries pork temple in Baton Rouge? I seem to recall maybe Matherne's carrying as 'Jambalaya Meat', but I'm not sure.

Damn, read this wrong. I was thinking more along the lines of a local shrine to bacon and got irrationally excited for a minute.

If it’s packaged as “jambalaya meat” it’s probably cubed Boston butt. Temple can be found in most supermarkets in Acsension (Lamendolas, Harvest, Ralphs, Rouses) but you may have to ask the butcher if you don’t see it on the shelf.

At Matherne's and Calvin's, they'll get it for you if you ask the Butcher's for it.

Harvest in PVille usually has it in one of their frozen coolers by the meat section.

not in BR, but Carter's Supermarkets in DS and Walker have it in stock regularly. Fresh or Frozen and the meat manager will cut/weigh to order if you ask.
