seems like he can only coach one-half of good defense each game. this week it was the first half.

I was really disappointed with the D on that last long TD by Alabama. that was pretty bush league.

has the game passed him by? I certainly didn't expect a shut out against alabama. but still, he has been underwhelming.

great game, though. great win. not calling for his head but just looking for other thoughts from the board.

I think he’s started slow but made good adjustments. Do we really expect Aranda to shut down Bama completely? He called a great game yesterday, minus that man coverage TD on Stingley at the end.

He held them to 1 score in a half.

Besides a couple of busted coverages where we put our best CB in man I feel Like this isn’t the game to complain about.

This was a top 5 offense we played with probably 9-10 NFL players on the field.

I mean How often does Stingley just get burnt like that?

Even the first time it was because he wasn’t watching when the ball was snapped.

That one play TD at the end was pathetic. It’s not the end of the world if they score there but you have to scheme them in a way that makes them run plays and burn some clock.

LSU isn’t getting 2.5 million dollars worth of production out of Dave Aranda.

They had one TD off a punt return. That’s not on Aranda.

One time Stingley got burned due to a coach distracting him at the snap

Once was a fluke where he did not have the high safety help he should have had. Maybe the safety bit on a fake, possibility a slant. I don’t know but will have to watch again.

You take away those big one hit wonder plays and they did not march up and down the field on us.
It would help if we had more quality depth on the defensive line and could rotate more often.

Really,

Stopped them when we needed to

So, go STTD since you can not enjoy a win over a really good team.

Aranda has been figured out. He needs to improve and evolve but yesterday was pretty good.

Aranda is working with a very average defensive line... no pass rush from front 3 plus chaisson.

Bama got 5 sacks and many many pressures on Burrow with really a below Bama standard defensive front. They rushed four most of,the time

Bama offensive lineman is very good. Bama offense is as powerful as the LSU offense.
Harris is as good of a back as we will play all year

We don’t have the depth to play all out for 4 quarters. We can do it for a half a game. The defense was dominant in the first half but got tired after the half. This is changing and we are building tremendous depth now on defense. This class is going to be a defensive powerhouse

I feel like the the late hit on Vincent was a huge factor in the second half woes.
