Tensas Parish
35 degrees, no wind
.35 Whelen
Elevated blind @ corner of bean field and oak flat

Good luck

ETA: I just had no shite a herd of at least 30 deer walk 25 yards away from my stand back into the woods. I guess they’ve fed all night with this moon. May be in for a longer sit. Thinking they’ll comeback out in feed 9:30-11:30

What’s it been like in IL? I’m over to your west and it’s hit or miss. Was hot for a week or so but have hit a lull. How long are you up there hunting?

Got up here Wednesday midday, staying until Saturday at the latest. I’ve seen Bucks in every hunt but nothing I wanted to shoot (in range).

I’m yet to find a nice place with consistent does. Hoping they’ll be moving today before the storm. Going to get downright frigid soon.

Are you public or private?

Northern Missouri
39° with a NNE wind at 9mph
PSE Xforce, gold tip arrow, grim reaper head.
Hunting a patch of woods between 2 corn fields. Haven’t seen anything yet but everyone else is seeing deer. It’s ok though, I have until Saturday to fill my archery tag and then until next Wednesday to fill my rifle tag.

Are they chasing out there pretty good? I’m hunting private ground in a couple different counties. This weekend has been terrible. Thinking with the cold coming it’ll start to pick up

We aren’t that far from each other either. What’s the rut been like?

Enough to make a squirrel gravy for the Saints game. Also had a coyote come within twenty yards. Guess he was thinking the same.

On the way home from a weekend in NE texas at a buddy's place. Saw 30+ in 2 hunts. They have a few does and smaller bucks on ice and I snagged this guy Friday evening.

Very nice pickle. The way that drop curves and length is very unique

We just got up here Friday but we’ve seen a few different smaller bucks pushing does. Lots of scrapes and rubs too. Talked to a local that said they’re still in the searching phase but this colder weather definitely has them moving more.
