You must have missed the scrimmage Sunday where we smashed the ball all game, and looked great at the plate.

Overall, the pitchers did well. There were no balls hit over the outfielders or in the gaps. Sanford, in left field, recorded 8 of the 18 outs for purple. 12 of the total 36 outs were by strikeout.

Hilliard's fastball usually tops out at 87-88mph. Tonight he hit 91mph once and most were 87-88.

I missed his inning Sunday also. Tonight his command was good with upper 80's velo. 3 K's and 3 flyouts for his 2 innings.
