BCS used to me majority computers.
By the way, everyone thinks computers are some artifically intelligent entity that knows all.
THe computers are programmed by humans, and those humans decide what variables are important and which ones aren't.
Humans decide the weighting of those variables. And humans tweak the formula every year. Sometimes margin of victory is important, over years it's not .
The computers aren't the answer.

You need both. Computer programs provide non-biased computations of team strength, and are able to make complex calculations humans can't. What computers can't determine are injuries, play on the field, and other factors.
