I think it’d be cool for my son to ride to school and back. When I mention it he’s amazed that I can’t see how uncool they are.

Didn’t have that crap when I was a kid, we had to use our own legs for propulsion.

See anyone ride these things? As tragic as Segways?

Would you ride one?

IDK. I think it’s cool. Looks fun.

Maybe it’s just because I think it’s cool my son doesn’t want it. Saves me $1000, but still.

For a grand I think it would wear thin pretty quickly. Probably something more fun out there that isn't so one-dimensional.

Probably need to be riding a bike at that age, but that’s a pretty impressive toy...so I ain’t even mad.

How old is your son? Important piece of the dorky equation.

Wait. Did he actually use the word, “dorky”???

No, he’s about 5 blocks from school and walks home when we can’t make it home in time. Something he could carry...

I did get him a medium Penny for Christmas last year though.

Ok. My son is 13. Everything is lame. LAME, not dorky
I’ve just been given the lame vs chill run down for Christmas.

Nothing that makes a 13 year old boy stand out from the pack is cool. Do his friends have them? Do you see lots of other boys (not girls) his age ride them?

Middle school is brutal. Boys seem to run in packs and avoid standing out too much lest they are the first to do or own something and it is branded “dorky.”

I'm surprised they are so expensive.

$1800 for the XR and $950 for the Pint. LINK

Looks fun though.

Nah. I’m good. Waking up one 13 year old boy at 5:20 for 6:00 am practice is enough for me. All but brushed his teeth and applied his deodorant for him this morning. He was either sleep walking or high.

OneWheels are a blast, and they're definitely not toys like those stupid "hoverboard" things.
