Best periodicals / subscriptions for staying up on current events?

I’m getting to that point in my career and personally where I feel like I need to do a better job staying more in-touch with current events.
What are the best options out there for daily / weekly reads? Currently I have the WSJ, the Economist, and then I scan the local paper. Anything else that’s pertinent to staying up to speed?

WSJ and The Economist are great. What else do you need? Go on Google News (best articles from national papers are on there) once or twice a day too and you are more than covered.

Also NPR’s daily podcast Up First is a good listen to hear the liberal leaning side of things.

Political Talk is full of nuanced, unbiased current event takes. No hyperbole or hysteria.

Indeed good sir. Just the other day there was a lively debate about whether vaccines are a Democratic ploy to cause autism and AIDS or just autism.

Good luck ever trying to cancel that membership with WSJ. I was on the phone for, I kid you not, over an hour arguing with an indian guy to take me off the subscription that I had to have for a class in college.
