Who do you take and who do you make the tough call to leave off? For me it’s pretty easy. You take Burch, Dumervil and Guillory. Evans is the tough call but I left I’m off because of the confidence I have in Ty Davis-Price. You have to build through the lines first and take your top in state talent.

We have spots for certain guys. We'll make room if need be.

This isn’t as difficult as some of you are trying to make it. They won’t turn away Burch, Dumervil, Guillory OR Evans. They’ll take all 4 and drop a current commit.

Evans Guillory Dumervil if you can only take 3. Can’t see them passing on Webb either so 4 should be mandatory

DUMB...

How about you check our OL commit list. Ask yourself how many OL play. Then go back and read your post again.

Yes! We should not replace a current commit on the OL with Dumervil (or any OLman). We only currently have two commits on the OLine:
- a guy we are hoping to convert from DL
- a guy from the same school as Dumervil

IMO, we need 4 total OL in this class. We should (pretty much) NEVER have more WR signees than OL signees in a class. Not at LSU, where WRs grow on trees.

My guess is they will take Guillory, Crawford, and Dumervil. Then if someone elite like Evans or maybe Burch wants to commit, they will find a way to fit them into the class.

My guess, again, is they will process two or even three current commits if they have to.

But, we don’t. The commitment situation can be modified to make the numbers work out. Please don’t speculate on who might be processed. This is a very touchy subject for recruits and their families. Trust that the coaches will make the best decisions for the program and don’t throw names or positions around as possible to be processed.

Let’s hope that we actually sign 25. Seems like the last 2 years we had similar discussions then end up scrambling at the end.

You’d think we’d learn from overconfidence.

Let’s not say that.

Instead let’s continue to get the best total 25 and flip the college football apple cart while the others continue to point and stare at Coach O in a state of bewilderment.

but there are plenty to add in either one of those spots

I say we take the 3-5 that have been mentioned above and will have to start looking at other options...greyshirts, WOs,etc….but we will not be getting rid of OL....just replacing OL w/ another.

nice problem to hv

I think Dumerville, Burch, and Guillory with the last three spots.

That leaves Evans, and Webb left so you would have to make room somehow. I would guess the two JUCO guys would be first up to be dropped, after that I really don't know. With 4 receivers currently committed you have to think one of them might not make it in the class if all those other guys want in.

Saving a spot for DJ isn't very smart. If DJ wanted in, they would just drop Max or TJ. I'm guessing both would voluntarily try to go elsewhere. Wouldn't need to process/move anyone - that spot would resolve itself.

Dumerville is a must IMO. We need another Olineman to finish this thing off. I'm not comfortable with 2, even though there's always the chance of converting a DL to an OL.

Dumervill and Crawford hopefully. We need at least two solid OL recruits in this class which is still way low. Should be 4 or 5 solid OL recruits in every class.
