If you want to entertain yourself this afternoon while awaiting the game tomorrow, check out our offense from last year in the Auburn game.

How the hell did we win that game?

That was his first SEC start. To be honest, you can see glimpses of his accuracy on certain passes. That slant to Sullivan on the big 3rd down was on the money. Burrow only got better as the year went on...

The biggest, obvious difference this year: space. My God it’s night and day

Most of those plays he seemed to only have 1 option. My how things have changed.

I actually made a spreadsheet towards the end of last year plotting Burrow's completion percentage over the season. Put a linear trend to it and kinda laughed. Thought ok this was a waste of time, no way he jumps to 80% next year.

That’s the difference between a guy who came in after the Spring in his first SEC start against a legit defense vs the Burrow we see now who had an entire offseason with his receivers.
And even then he didn’t play bad. I hope the refs are as willing to call PI this year because Auburn’s secondary will absolutely try to mug our guys.

I agree. You can also see that his footwork is so much better, just as he talked about in the interview earlier in the year regarding working out on his own and watching film.

Damn that was brutal.
Wasn't this the game that lost Giles the #7?

If you want to entertain yourself this afternoon while awaiting the game tomorrow, check out all the threads on the Rant from idiots telling us that the problem was the OL when we were telling them it was the scheme.

As much as our offense has improved, Burrow just getting actual game experience/maturing as a player has been just as big of a factor.
