Zion also hid the injury.

Kid wants to play and I cant be mad at him for that.

Zion Williamson climbed onto the training table inside the New Orleans Pelicans’ practice facility last Wednesday and finally admitted something. That’s when the prized rookie informed the staff that he felt some tightness in his right knee, sources have told The Athletic. This admission came three days after a dominant 22-point, 10-rebound game against the San Antonio Spurs — which had been followed by a day off on Monday and a full participatory day of practice on Tuesday. I don't think hid is even the right word, he just didn't feel it like a normal human being. Listen to Shams talking about it in the video clip. LINK

Alvin Gentry had indicated that it occurred last Sunday against the San Antonio Spurs, but I'm told the team and Williamson never really found or reported swelling in that knee until last Wednesday when Williamson reported some tightness

My take on that is with this injury some level of pain and swelling is expected, but all Zion experienced was tightness.

David Griffin tells us Zion is an elite athlete and in elite condition. Says weight wasn’t an issue in the injury.

Says Zion never had swelling the knee and wasn’t experiencing much pain. Still not sure when it happened.
