Romney's Senate floor speech came after Vice President Pence announced a five-day ceasefire.

quote:

"The announcement today is being portrayed as a victory. It is far from a victory. Serious questions remain about how the decision was reached precipitously to withdraw from Syria and why that decision was reached," Romney said.

quote:

Romney added the administration needs to explain what the U.S. role will be moving forward. And the ceasefire, he argued, does not change that the United States "abandoned" the Kurds.

quote:

"Adding insult to dishonor, the administration speaks cavalierly, even flippantly, even as our ally has suffered death and casualty," Romney said. "We once abandoned a red line. Now we abandon an ally."

quote:

What we have done to the Kurds will stand as a bloodstain in the annals of American history," Romney continued.

quote:

Romney added during his floor speech that the committee was not consulted ahead of Trump's decision.

quote:

Romney and Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) have called for the administration to come testify before Congress to explain their decision. He said on Thursday that he wants the hearings to take place next week.

Look at ol Mitt rocking out to "LET THE BODIES HIT THE FLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOR"

It's sickening that these politicians are fighting to continue making money from US blood in the middle east.

Trump's not obligated to consult the Senate in matter regarding troop movement/deployment. God, we have some dumb politicians.

Still wasn’t as bad as when Candy Crowley bent Mitt over and sodomized his arse while Obama and everyone watched on live tv.

And he said nothing then. He might as well have had a ball gag in his mouth.

I have no doubt Romney knows this.

He also knows the MSM and Left currently want war and blood, so he will do all he can to suck up to them. He never misses this opportunity when it arises. Fits his pattern perfectly.

Voting third party or not voting at all. I voted Ron Paul in the 2012 primary and Gay Johnson (which granted is also an embarrassing vote in hindsight). Trump was the first Republican presidential candidate I voted for in a general election.

Romney was able to run at all because GOP voters cucked out and didn’t reject McCain emphatically enough that the establishment had to change course.
Jeb Bush and the whole clown car of establishment idiots ran in 2016 because Romney wasn’t rejected emphatically enough.

EDIT: I’m leaving that typo Meant Gary Johnson but he is pretty gay

Before voting for Trump in 2016, I hadn't voted in any election since W's second term. I'd grown pretty tired of politics and despite McCain and Romney doing nothing to inspire me to go vote, I always felt a little guilty for not exercising my right. Fast forward now three years, and I'm now proud to say neither of those two bastards got my vote. frick 'em

Let's hope Utah votes him out in '24 or recalls him before then. He's a disgrace.
