For people who accuse of ST George voters to be racists

How come you never bring up racism when you been taking these people’s money over the years?
Also, if the STGeorge voters are really racists, wouldn’t that make you pathetic if you need money help from racists? Anyone with an ounce of integrity would never accept money from a person who hates them. Guess you got none.

Thousands of twitterers, for one

I'm OK wither way on St. George, but OP is ridiculous.

this argument works better with the "the entire parish should have voted" argument, but he's not wrong
an honest argument by the anti-StG people would have been about equity, but they made it almost exclusively about race
*ETA: the problem with "equity" as an argument, is that it's plainly arguing for redistribution of wealth

Literally every St George thread has at least one person call it racist

bullshite. The usual people who made it about race likely did, but is anyone really listening to that?

Same lol. I used to be pretty against it, but been kinda "meh" about it the last year or so.
But the OP makes zero sense at all.

so?

People are too scared / worried about being called “racist” IMO. No honest white person wants to send their kids to a majority black school district. This is true even in the most “liberal” areas of the country

I don't care what race he/she is. Tax dollars are used throughout the parish and the St. George area gets a significant portion of those dollars already. People like the OP act like all their money is going to north baton rouge and that's just not reality.

“I don’t think the city or the mayor knows what this plan, if implemented, is going to do to the reputation of those schools… once the quality of the student body is changed somehow,” council member Artemis Lekakis told Carranza.
“I’m going to call you on your language,” the chancellor replied. “The coded language that we use, where we’re ‘diluting’ these schools because we’re giving more opportunity to a wider array of students, is highly offensive.”
The city’s specialized high schools are widely regarded as the Ivy League of public school options, but are deeply segregated. Asian students account for more than 60 percent of enrollment at the elite schools — compared with 16 percent of enrollment citywide. Only 10 percent of students are black and Hispanic, compared with almost 70 percent citywide. Admission is based solely on the results of a single test.

As we learned in 2016, when you tacitly label entire groups of people as "racist" and thus, "the enemy", when they are not really racist, it tends to piss them off and motivate them in droves.
I don't know of one person, ever, who responded to unfounded racist claims with "Wow, I never thought of it that way, I guess I am racist. I better go vote for / against this xyz thing. I sure am glad that person was there to tell me my own feelings, thoughts and intentions, or I would have never known how much of a shitbag I am." ---- Usually, the exact opposite happens, you get a "frick you too" from voters and then they "prove" your point, bunch of racist assholes keeping the black man down.

if this even distribution was true, why is the city saying it's facing a $45-50M shortfall?
and why the frick is the city getting tax money from unincorporated areas?
