And yes, the NFL needs to have the Spanos kids either sell, and/or return and build a new stadium in SD.

San Antonio has a stadium. Biggest city without a football franchise. Move them to San Antonio.

I agree that the Spanos should be forced to sell and brought back to SD

But its the voters that fricked this city along with the hoteliers

Alamo Dome is a shite hole

The Alamodome isn’t a shithole. Is it good for the NFL? No...but it’s not a shithole. It’s plain and boring, but in a favorable location and a well-kept facility. That’s how they land the Final 4, the occasional neutral site CFB game, etc. It’s also a big reason that the Alamo Bowl is not a low tier bowl, and instead something that draws top 25 teams.

Alamodome is way better than this soccer stadium or the piece of shite in San Diego.

The L. A. market, in many ways, is fools’ Gold.

San Antonio is the 7th largest city in the country. It’s the largest city without an NFL team. I mean...it’s a fact.

While the San Antonio city limits might have the 7th largest population...their metro region is on #24

Larger metros without an NFL team

San Diego
St. Louis
Orlando

Riverside, CA is also on the list of largest metros without an NFL team but they are too close to LA to really justify their own franchise.

2. Move a team to St. Louis

I could see the NFL doing this just to settle with the city to avoid more lawsuits. That $$ amount is now starting to cost kroenke and Co a decent amount of money with no end in sight.

OP said city, not metro area. Had he said the SA metro was largest without a team, he would have been wrong. He did not. I’m not sure if you thought you were correcting me or what?

There was a STRONG rumor floating around in recent weeks that the #NFL had “offered” the city of St. Louis the
@Chargers
franchise....
