My company makes you pass a test to get in the door, random if you drive on company time, suspicion or if you get in a car accident. LA law requires companies have a written, enforced drug program to be able to deny work comp claims if someone gets hurt while high.

It's work for the state in a pot friendly state, no testing.

Worked for major oil
Middle management office job
Random testing within office every day it staff
I was tested a few times a year pretty much
They called you randomly and you had 30 minutes to report to the testing center
If you tested positive security walked you to the door
Knew one guy that failed/ weed
Was in one time and asked the nurse anyone actually fail this test... she said the person in front of me did
They tested for drugs and like two beer max
Also heard a person took his wife’s pain pill on Sunday cause he hurt his back
They asked to see the prescription and it had. His wife’s name he was let go
Big oil does not mess around with this usually offshore harder to catch and test although they have dogs sniffing at the helipad: dock
sometimes
