Buehler, May, Kershaw then who is in the rotation? Stripling? Maeda? Urias? Hill/Ryu are free agents
Urias, May and/or Gosslin. Maeda too but I see his future in the BP.
As for the BP, we got Kelly but that didn't work out so well. But yea, we need a lot of help there. I can see Maeda as a setup guy or even a closer. He has that competitiveness a closer needs.

if the Astros front office has any sense they will do whatever they can to unload Greinke's ridiculous contract in a package deal with Correa.
Correa is still young enough to get a lot of attention on the market despite his constant injury issues. if the Astros wait another year with Correa, then teams may catch on to just how overrated and injury prone he is.
the Greinke trade at this year's past deadline was a great move and paid off during the regular season, but he's a proven choke artist in the playoffs and terribly overpaid. unload him now with Correa.

1-3 w/ a 3.42 era aided by the shutout win in 2014. He wasn't Kershaw level bad but not what I would call good.

I'm very curious if Boston blows it all up

Rick Honeycutt out, Mark Prior in as Dodgers pitching coach
Posted on 10/14/19 at 4:04 pm to tduecen
honeycutt will still have an adviser type role in the front office
Posted on 10/14/19 at 4:18 pm to WestCoastAg
Yea, Honeycutt is the problem.

You will have to take pretty much nothing back in return if you want to dump Greinke so soon

MLB Network insider Jon Heyman predicted Monday on the latest episode of the “Big Time Baseball” podcast that Cole will set multiple records this offseason by landing a seven-year, $245 million contract. That would be the largest contract ever signed by a pitcher and would also give Cole the highest average annual value ($35 million) in MLB history, for any player. So which teams might be in position to give Cole that deal? In Heyman’s view, it could come down to two of the richest clubs in the game, the Yankees and Dodgers.

I’d probably do a 5/200 deal for him. Get him through 35 with a chance to land a JV type contract afterwards
Posted on 10/15/19 at 9:36 am to texastiger38
id be interested in like a 3/110ish deal

So Boras is saying ryu will be looking for the most money and years as possible. Dont know of that lines up for the Dodgers. Next years group probably goes
Buehler
Kersh
Urias
May
Maeda/Gonsolin rotation depending on whose more needed that day
This obviously changes if hill comes back but idk if that's in the cards right now

The Angels are preparing to announce they’ve hired Joe Maddon to a three-year deal to be their next manager, source confirms to The Athletic.

Good for Joe. Angels have some nice young talent. They will be a threat in a year or two.

But two factors make possible a pursuit of Rendon: Members of the front office salivate over his ability, and there exists a perception in the sport that Rendon might be enticed to take the sort of short-term contract with record-breaking average annual value that Bryce Harper rejected from the Dodgers last winter.

If the Dodgers are able to sign All-Star third baseman Anthony Rendon, incumbent Justin Turner seems fine with a position move next season, he told @ByMcCullough
