Hunter bags rare antlered doe

Over the weekend, outdoorsman Chris Blades was on the prowl in Seminole County when he nabbed what he initially suspected to be “an extremely non-typical buck” that was, in fact, biologically female. Officials for the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation (ODWC) have since described the doe as "the deer of a lifetime."

although its not nearly as rare, that shim of a deer also has two white throat patches as well

I repeat this story every time a similar thread pops up because I was so fascinated at the time. My closest friend in high school shot a very similar deer in the mid 2000s about 5 miles into Arkansas from LA border. It was less typical and had 26 points from thick cactus-like growths on top of its head. Still in velvet. The deer was as big as a horse. Over 300 pounds. State came and got the guts and determined that the deer was a hermaphrodite.
