Why leave a sweet gig at tOSU to take on a high stress job with the job turnover of a Latin American dictatorship?

Spurrier is the poster child for why that is a bad idea. The only reason Saban isn’t is because Alabama has an opening as he was trying to leave Miami.

I can understand it because you don't have to recruit. And the way the collective bargaining agreement is structured, you have a decent amount of time off.

That said, I doubt he leaves for the NFL for a while. But he has previous NFL coaching experience, so this will come up often.

Didn't say he was going to take it, i just said that it will come up for obvious reasons. Day has been an NFL coach before, and he has the ties with Dwayne Haskins. The Redskins drafted him in the 1st round, it makes sense to look at the guy who developed him into a 50 TD machine at Ohio State. Day will absolutely be a candidate. If nothing else, Day is going to use this to get himself a hell of a raise...especially if he beats Michigan, wins the B1G and makes the CFP. Harbaugh makes what...9 million? Day can use speculation to get a 10 mill contract with Ohio St.
