Big Tobacco isn’t going away without a fight.

Phillip Morris is a major player in vaping. But they need to clear the field. The problem is no one buys these mass produced vaping products sold at gas stations, they go to their local vape shop and buy customized products locally.

Phillip Morris wants vaping to be a mass market, mass produced item like cigarettes are. The biggest threat to this model is the local mom and pop vaping store. So what they do is get politicians all riled up about vaping and propose temporary bans on vaping until "we can figure out what is going on". These temporary bans will cripple most local mom and pop vape shops. Then politicians will craft legislation on vaping to a certain set of standards that raise the barriers of entry so only mega corporations can get in on the action and afford to produce the product inspite of the red tape and regulations.

That is what its all about

Agreed but the crazy thing is all these deaths and illnesses are people buying bootleg THC vapes. From what I’ve read a lot of them are due to vitamin E oil instead of propylene glycol because its a few bucks cheaper per gallon. Also a lot of them tested apparently had some sort of fungicide present in them that when burned turned into Hydrogen Cyanide which was used as a chemical weapon some in WWI.
