Fehoko “Every time I hear ‘warp’ I just want to cry sometimes”

The Advocate reported, Sometimes, Fehoko admitted he wishes it was like last years offense, when he’d see starting center Loyd Cushenberry call quarterback Joe Burrow over into a huddle after a play in practice.
“Now I’m looking at Lloyd, he’s getting over the ball and all I hear is ‘warp’ from Joe” Fehoko said. “It’s like we’re looking at the sideline, we’re trying to get the call, trying to get lined up, trying to catch your breath —that’s the biggest thing. It sucks, but like I’ve said it helps us a lot.”
The report noted that injuries and being unable to substitute have led to some problems for the defense. No LSU defender has yet to record at least two sacks, and the Tigers are tied for 41st nationally in sacks with 11. The other reason is three step drops by opposing quarterbacks have been neutralizing LSU pass rushers. The only option left for the Dline is to attempt to knock down the pass.

Maybe we shouldn’t have 3 defensive tackles rushing the quarterback on the line. We need more speed off the edges.

Or Recruiting 6’7-8” guy with wingspan to knock down more passes

That would be your outside linebacker in a 3-4 with Chaisson or Divinity. Still doesn’t help when the qb is getting the ball off in 2 seconds.

If LSU’s defense can get a few more passes batted down and have a few less dropped interceptions and a few less missed tackles, they will be fine.

Best pas rushers are daling with injuries. Gonna be a big chnge when they return.
The three step drops also eliminate opportunities for big plays by the opponents and force them to dink and dunk. Tasckling issues have made it seem worse than it is but that will be fixed.

Boo fricking hoo. Nut up and let it make you stronger. Stop worrying about the Offense and worry about getting your defensive struggles in order.

reminds me a little of the talk surrounding LSU's prep for the Oregon game in 2011, when all anyone wanted to say about Oregon was how effective their up-tempo offense was.

you could take probably 21-28 points off the board if we just know our assignments.
2 TD vs Northwestern where we jsut botched coverage
The opening drive against Vandy where the LB covered the wrong gap and let the RB break for that long run.
We tackle better, and know where we are supposed to be and we will look a lot better.

I don't think your take matches what he's talking about.

I truly believe that led us to having the most well-conditioned defense in our history. That defense got BETTER in the 4th quarter.

Moffitt was a beast getting the team ready for that game. Moffitt

Moffit and LSU coaches are getting this LSU defense prepared for Fla, Aub and Ala. it’s been tough with the injuries and learning process but there is progress being made on both fronts.

Substitute in other D players before a drive starts so don’t have to try and sub during drives. When the 2nd drive starts, that would be sufficient rest.

I wonder how often the defense fakes injuries in practice to slow down the offense.
