Carter Plantation charges close to the same and is a much better golf course.

Time and Vehicle Costs to get to Carter. Plus, Carter Plantation isn't located in South BR where it can get over 30,000 rounds per year.

They may lose some customers but they need to balance out increase with lost customers. Plus, a much better experience with 4 hour rounds and less people and less wear and tear on course.

RTJ in Alabama are all public and have no problems charging more. Baton Rouge could use different levels of public courses. Entry, Mid-Level and Premium.

You could go up on price at Santa Maria and still not see a big change in number of rounds because it's the only decent game in town.
