I watched this on Netflix last night. Thoughts?
The one story titled "Meal Ticket," the one with the orator torso, was depressing as hell.

Excellent film.
There's been threads about it before.
One of Cohens' best.

Thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. Great actors. Each story was well written. Would watch a show version where each story was an episode, and have like 8 or so.

Weird movie with all of the completely non-sequiter vignettes. Some were better than others. Most were just depressing, especially the wagon train one.
I wish we could’ve gotten an entire 90 minute film of just the first vignette.

Awesome. Should have been up for best picture and should have won best song.

I love all Cohen Brothers works but I thought this was extremely disappointing.
I know I am in the minority though.

Easily there worst for me, like on a different tier below everything else.
Crazy how two people can have such different opinions.

I enjoyed the movie. I was entertained. I wouldn't say it was their best, however. Like I said above, Meal Ticket was depressing as hell, followed by The Girl Who Got Rattled.
I do have to say Surly Joe's death was one of the best ever.

I loved it but understand why some people don’t. I like when movies have a unique approach and invoke emotion and this one was definitely a rollercoaster of emotions.

Heartbreaking. Was surprised from the beginning to the end.

I thought it was brilliant, unique, one of a kind.

The Zoe Kazan segment was the best imho especially that drastic ending. I’m a big fan of Kazan and I love her unique beauty. The Coen Bro’s with yet another great movie.

Easily better than Hail Caesar or A Serious Man

My son wanted to watch it, so I watched it again. I appreciated it more the second time around. It really is a good movie.

Yeah. A father slowly eating his son was a brutal story.

Yes it was. Wish I hadn’t watched it.
