The sad thing about Drudge, and what I think made him most appealing, was that there was always this fun underlying tinge of mischievous humor to his approach.
Hid weird TDS affliction has all but killed that, it seems.

Agreed, his humor is gone. Andrew Breitbart used to run afternoon shift of Drudge years ago. I think Paul Ryan is running it with Romney now. 
I remember when he started he broke stories on Monica and the cigar. Now he is paid to let Ryan run it.
