The wife and I are going to Buenos Aires & Bariloche, Argentina from 3/21-3/28 2020.

We have spots booked at the Palacio Duhau-Park Hyatt Buenos Aires and the Llao Llao resort during that time.

We want to add in something on the front end of that trip, maybe a few days, maybe a week. We have looked into the Wine Country, Hunting, and Patagonia/hiking.

We really aren’t sure what we want to do but would really like some suggestions from the board. - we try to make our spring vacation adventurous. Last year we were in Morocco and did a Sahara excursion, year before that was New Zealand, year before was Australia so we like to be outside and active during the trip.

If you have any suggestions as to what to do- do you also have a preferred vendor that you have used or have knowledge of?

Thanks!

Following this

Augusta, I was poking around putting together a BA-wine country-Patagonia trip earlier this week and stumbled on a lot of top reviews for LINK

Apparently originally run by a lady named Isabel but now being taken over by her daughter. Anyway, I don't think it's a package provider, more fee-based trip planning, but several travel boards acted like she was the go-to for Argentina and Chile if you're looking for help but not necessarily with a prepackaged tour.

I'll be there a month before you are. We're going to Iguazu Falls and also to Ushuaia.

I did a rather extensive review of my Argentina trip last May. Not sure why it wasn’t added to the sticky. I stopped doing reviews after that. Here you go...

Buenos Aires, Bariloche, Iguazu

This is where we stayed as well. If this is your first time there and have specific questions, I should be able to assist. Argentina is an amazing country.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I shot an email off to her. I’ll follow back around to let you know how it goes.

Yep. Mardi Gras break. Iguazu Falls, Ushuaia, El Chalten, and Bariloche -- packing a lot in a short period of time.

I would suggest Torres del Paine national park in Patagonia. It has a hike called the W-Trek, it’s a 4-5 day hike that takes you to a bunch of incredible natural features. They have lodging and tent options. The lodges serve breakfast, dinner, and alcohol. I’m not sure about the weather in March though.
