I don't think they have done anything different than they have been doing. What have they been doing differently other than being cleverly feisty on twitter?
I don't think comparing them to companies that have been oversaturated for a while and operate on a completely different business model is a good way to compare them.
You might want to compare them to someone like a raising canes or Zaxby's for accuracy. They would be a close competitor IMO too because of Chiken
You could have just said "No, I don't know that to be the case."

and then reversed course in 2017 by 20%.
I don't know anyone that GAF for it to effect their food choices. I know lots of people, both Christians and non-christians as well as gay people. The gay people still eat chick fil a.
the boycott community is very small and were likely already vegan.
show me the numbers for the years between 2000-2010 and then maybe I'll reevaluate

down voted for asking for another 6 year comparison? that's weak sauce. 2001-2007 would probably be best because overall economic growth. Show me the numbers.

quote:Seriously? You're going to cherry pick the year? They "reversed" in 2013 too but, yeah..........you're probably smarter to look at the multi-year trend
and then reversed course in 2017 by 20%.
Average growth for 10,11,12 was 12.9%
Average growth from 12 forward was 14.8%. And that INCLUDES the two "reversal" years.
I get that you think you're slick. But that shite ain't gonna slide by me. Save it for someone else who misses obvious shite like that.

I think it is anecdotal and representative of the broader economy.
I think you are pandering and overestimating how much their "controversy" of their political and religious views that were in the so called news for maybe 2 quarters affected their business model and growth.
That's why i'm asking you to show me numbers from a similar economic growth time span. I will take back everything i said if you show me the numbers from the other years.

I eat chikfila with my LGBTQ friends regularly

And what about 2018 with the tax cuts. Shouldn't there be more than the growth in 2015 and 2016 since people had more money in their pockets?
your arguments are weak.

I would as well, but I don't have any. There are two gay dudes who live across our street, but I've never had Chick Fil A with them.

I personally don't know that their slightly better resuls are due to positive reaction to the controversy.
I merely pointed out that if the graph provided by Mickey should ANYTHING, that's what it showed. It certainly didn't show any negative impact.
As to trying to look at the prior 10 years. Well, that would be 1999-2009 which would include some REALLY shitty economic years so, I've no idea how that would be useful at all.
Bottom line. I think that it is without question that all of the "controversy" has caused their name to be more prominent in the public domain and basically EVERY company loves that shite. Especially if the "upset" people amount to basically nobody. This ain't like if you get say 20-30% of the people mad at you.
I seriously doubt any more than 2% of Americans would even CONSIDER avoiding Chick-Fil-A or any other company over this shite. And, that's probably being very kind.
So. Some tiny fraction of Americans have spent the last 10 years basically running name recognition commercials on Chick-Fil-A's behalf.........

yawn
you just contradicted yourself
2001-2007 were some pretty good years and the same time frame.
You are trying but failing miserably.
BTW I support chickfila and their beliefs and rights to operate however they choose as long as it meets the basic non-discrimination laws. I don't eat there much but when i do it is usually saturday mornings and i buy an extra biscuit to eat one sunday morning.

Luckily I don't have to live on the city streets so I don't associate with people who think this way
