I think we win by 15+, but there are reasons to think this game will not be easy

Looking forward to seeing Tigers roll this weekend, but any SEC road game (other than maybe Ole Miss in 2011 type teams) can be an issue. We are the (of course) much better team, but Mason is a solid coach and Vandy coming off a bowl season with most of last years' team back, one that played very competitive in 11 of 13 games. Consider,
Last year at #8 Notre Dame lost 22-17, at #14 UK lost 14-7, vs #14 UF lost 37-27. Lost to Baylor in Texas Bowl 35-28.
Only one “bad” loss by 23 to SC, also beaten bad by UGA in Athens. Otherwise they were always competitive.
Their TE is a projected 1st round pick, they have likely NFL RB, WR and one DB. They are thin at OL and their QB is average but a week off after an embarrassing loss may have them extra focused.
Also, TN papers say Mason is in a do or die year. Again, I think we win pretty easily, but could be a battle.
Uga and Purdue jumped on them early and they caved, hope we do same.

If we don't win by 30+, I'll be disappointed.

Game is also at 11am central. Always a chance for a first half fart in early games.

This years team looks pretty bad
lost by 24 and 18 to an 1-2 Purdue team.

So 2 bad losses?

Lsu defense is a problem. Particularly the D line. Many starters still out. They don't force turnovers and don't get penetration.
Derek Mason is a good coach. Closer than people think. 11 am start.
LSU 27
Vandy 16

Too many Tiger fans always take Vandy for a cupcake. They are not. They are SEC and can rise up. Bring “A” game, Tigers!

this. regardless of kickoff time or injuries. I want a carryover from last week.

We will score 50 plus imo. Probably 30+ in the 3rd and early 4th quarter.

Issue is that they likely cannot stop or even slow down our offense.
Our DL is beat up but there OL sucks anyway. Even if the D gives up some pts I don’t think they can keep up.

Their pass defense is bad. We score way more than 27. Give me lsu 44-17

Keyshawn (sp?) Vaughn will run for like 200 against our Swiss cheese D. It’s gonna be like 45-31 Tigers. Let down game for sure.

We might start off sluggish, but we blow them out in the 2nd half.

I believe they'll cover the 24.

We're second in the SEC in rushing yards allowed per game and yards per rush, both behind Georgia.
For all the issues our pass d has been, our rush d has been just fine.

So everything about this team is different but we refuse to let go of some old fears... frick that !
Tigers roll early and often ... 52-10 Tigers

Mason is one hell of a coach.
Vandy is motivated and taking this game very seriously.
Early kickoff seems to always trouble us.
However...
Aranda is pissed about the defense and lack of pass pressure.
Joe Burreaux.
Joe Brady.
...
LSU by 28.

There really aren’t. Vanderbilt has the worst Pass defense of any P5 team in the country
