I’ve pretty much resigned myself to the idea that Bama will score 40 on LSU

The good thing after watching their defense play is that LSU might just hang 50 on them.

I expect both defenses to get better. They’re basically mirror images right now. Neither defense has a true leader on the field. Both defenses’ LBs are struggling.
Assuming both improve equally, we have a good shot.

Take chances on D and try to get a couple turnovers. I’d rather take a shot and give up a big play than let them wear us down and keep our offense off the field.

Not sure why you're getting downvotes. You're right. Both teams can score a lot of points. I hope our offense hits on all cylinders that night. I'd be content with a shootout.

This. With Jeudy/Waddle/Ruggs on the field, we are going to get burned a few times regardless. Same for them against our WRs.
Let’s see if Stingley or Fulton can steal one, or KLC can get a sack fumble and that can be the difference in the game. I like our DBs’ chances since it only takes being +1 or 2 in turnover to win a shootout.

I think our defense will show out by Florida. My prediction for Bama game is its Bama up 24 21.. 3rd and long.. Bama wants to ice the game in the mid 4th quarter. Tua drops back to pass... Chaisson gets pressure... Tua steps up in the pocket and throws into a tight window that Stingley was baiting. Pick motherfricking six.

If lsu beats bama but gives up 49 in doing so, there will still be people pissed. Just the way this place operates

red zone defense.
in last years championship drubbing by Clemson alabama ran the ball up and down the field but couldn't score. the other games were shootouts. that's the era we are in.
it's hard for us lsu fans to get used to but we are going to have to learn to be happy with a 45 -24 win as opposed to 31-10. and in the big close games it might be 45-42.
