Lipsey is also claiming that St. George will lose significant police protection. 
The Louisiana constitution requires that an incorporated city carry a police chief on its payroll, but not that such a city has to provide a full-fledged police force.
St. George will likely iron out a contract with EBRSO for increased police services. If not, they’ll start their own PD like central has.

As someone who lives in the heart of St George. Most are not worried about paying more taxes. That’s gonna happen no matter what. The problem is what is being done with the taxes.. In fact, whoever our tax assessor should have to pay penalties for taxable estimates versus what we can actually sell it for. I truly wish my house was worth what the parish thinks it’s worth.

Anyone that would cast a vote for the political twin of Edwin Edwards and lover of Huey Long, the current Governor, is not and will never be a conservative.
