I mean honestly it makes no sense for Fiend to lose to Rollins right if that's the match at HIAC.....but what good does it do Rollins to lose to the Fiend?
To me, and I don't propose to be "in the business", it makes more sense to have Rollins lose to Strowman and give Strowman a push to HIAC and then he loses to Fiend.....then we can potentially build something where Rollin's beats Fiend at Survivor Series and it could be the most meaningful win for anyone since WM.
That's how I would have booked it and hence my Strowman pick tonight.

So you think the Fiend holds the title to Mania?....maybe but I can't see that....it doesn't give very many story options for him outside of Strowman which they obviously didn't want to tell.

I could see someone costing The Fiend the match at HIAC, forcing a no-contest type result

The Fiend is being managed by the devil puppet McMahon himself.
He’s getting pushed to the moon and have the rarity of a Brock Lensar.
You will see his funhouse weekly, but the real treat will be when he physically shows up.
The Fiend doesn’t need championships.

I’m in the minority that thinks the Champs shouldn’t defend every PPV. The less appearances by performers makes for better drama. So much tv time waters down these characters.
I wish they’d go back to how they did it in the 80s/90s and appearances would be spotty. They wouldn’t be on every week. Makes it special every time they’re shown on TV.

Right but we are assuming after tonight that his next match is with Rollins....I guess it could be non-title but that seems unlikely.....so going by your rule that he won't lose means he will be champion unless they schmoz his win which still hurts his heat in my mind

I don't think you'll ever see WWE going back to 4 PPVs but I agree it would make things more meaningful. I love to go back to 4 PPVs with a Saturday Night'S Main Event every month.
Some of the best angles all time happened on Saturday Night'S Main Event

Bischoff tried this in WCW and I think it was weird.....basically because Hogan's appearances were limited by contract.....it made for some weird disjointed storylines

Balor's just on vacation... he's not hurt or upset with the company
he should be back by Survivor Series
gives plenty of time to build him up as a contender... win the Royal Rumble... and start building what I think would be an excellent "super natural" storyline between Finn trying to fight the "evil" urges of his Demon side in the battle with Fiend Wyatt
those "evil" urges win out... even though Fiend Wyatt is still too strong... he turns heel on some poor schmuck and joins the OC the next night on Raw (or the next Friday on SD Live on Fox)

Roddy Piper putting WCWWHC Hogan to sleep clean in the middle of the ring to win the main event match at Halloween Havoc but not win the title was truly awkward now thinking about it

Not necessarily go back to just 4 PPV, but limit the talent’s appearances. Not everyone HAS to be on every PPV every month. Scatter them out. Scatter the storylines. Longer burns. Hell, Wyatt has been cooking this storyline for a good while and it’s the best thing going in the WWE. He doesn’t have to be on TV every single week to be over.
Absence makes the heart grow fonder is what I guess I’m getting at.

if Fiend is Universal Champion... he will not face 'Taker at Mania

I dont disagree but I think WWE has fallen well into the trap of trying to keep all the boys happy and more importantly get them all a pay day... especially in the current climate of the business
