The rant has an affinity of hate for this guy so I’m here to be the voice of reason.
He will be the starting running back in every LSU game this season. He is a trusted veteran and has shown he can handle all facets thrown at him in Brady’s offense.
Accept it and move on.

Price-Davis is the truth
If CEH tries to dance back there against BAMA and the big boys he will get his head taken off

it's still OK to say that decision is suboptimal, or that using him as much as we have is very -EV

To the degree that he made the biggest block of the game in Texas last week. To the degree that JB says he is his guy. To the degree that Ed O says that he is the guy. To the degree that teams are still thinking they playing the old LSU and trying to stop interior run.

thank God he has moves. otherwise, he wouldn't get many yards with the holes that are opening up for him. that's for sure.

I think he runs hard and makes some nice moves. I don’t get the hate. Our running game hasn’t been great but I think it has more to do with blocking.

It has more to do with teams leaving substandard personal and playing 7 in the box against spread personnel. I hope he continues to struggle up the middle because it means teams are not putting packages to stop Joe.

He is fine, but if LSU is to win anything, one or both of the freshmen will have to step up and split carries with him. Bottom line.

he catches well out of the backfield & excellent (and fearless) pass protection. 3rd & 17 doesn't happen without his block.

Let's put it this way, he will not be playing on Sunday. he reminds me of 2003 when Nick Saban started out with Shyrone Carey, and then moved by the end of the year to Justin Vincent.
He simply doesn't have the talent, but a average back. We have been spoiled with all the great running backs we have had.

100%
he's just not talented enough to be the guy. he's serviceable and has a role, but if he's still dominating carries late in the year we're not winning anything and this loaded roster is wasted (again)

I think by game 6 the freshman will be up to speed, Fournette didn’t click till Florida.

I don't hate the kid. I just know we're not going to win a championship with him taking the bulk of the carries. We need more of an explosive threat coming out the backfield that teams need to gameplan for throughout the week. The running game isn't a problem now, but it will be when its time face Florida, Auburn, and Bama.

or he's just not a good enough RB. stopping CEH doesn't mean teams are gameplanning to stop him. that's your faulty assumption

I certainly don't hate the guy, but he just doesn't put any fear in opposing defenses. He can turn a 3 yard gain into a 4 yard gain, but he's not a game breaker by any stretch of the imagination.
He's solid, doesn't fumble, can catch and he's a decent blocker. He's starting more as defense against bad things happening than as a weapon.

It’s not a faulty assumption. NW had 3 linebackers in the game against a single back set for a majority of 3rd and 4s or less. We passed 65% of those plays.

Looks like we have moved from a back qb is the best the backup rb is the best fanbase
Posted on 9/15/19 at 8:13 am to L S Usetheforce
LSU’s Oline is still shite, this needs to be recognized as the main problem

He dances too often. Good vision but doesn’t hit his gaps fast enough. Elite teams will close in on him fast.
