This tree is in my neighborhood. I'm new here so I have never seen the fruit ripen. It must be cold tolerant, as it's big and on the north side of the house. What is it and is it worth sneaking over to take a few?

Is it not just a mature navel orange tree?

I could be wrong, but it looks just like the grapefruit tree in my backyard. This thread reminds me I need to cut that POS down. I hate grapefruits

Looks like a well-groomed Owari Satsuma tree. I'd guess that it is at least 20 years old.

A lot of people make the mistake of picking them too soon. The satsumas probably won't be ripe until December.
