Thoughts College GameDay @ LSU for UF/Auburn

I am a BIG fan of when Gameday is at LSU. The exposure is great for the University and it adds a level of excitement around campus. I also think College Gameday loves being in Baton Rouge when LSU is good. It's different than pretty much everywhere else they may go during the season, culturally speaking. We just do things different than most on a Saturday in Baton Rouge.
Looking at LSU's schedule, it looks like our best chance at getting Gameday is for either Florida or Auburn. (I think we can all agree the next 3 games we have an excellent chance of winning. I know our football team is not looking past NW St, Vandy, and Utah St).
LSU vs Florida is October 12
LSU vs Auburn is October 26
Sandwiched in between that is a game at Mississippi State on the October 19.
Now, looking at Auburn and Florida's schedule, they play each other on October 5th. Florida plays Kentucky, Tennessee, and Towson before the Auburn Game. Auburn has a much tougher schedule with Kent State, @ A&M, at home against Miss St before going to the Swamp to play Florida.
If both teams are undefeated, no chance Gameday passes up the Florida-AU game at the Swamp. Other options:
Iowa @ Michigan
Michigan State @ Ohio State
No brainer that AU @ Florida would get Gameday.
My question is do y'all think that will hurt LSU's chances getting Gameday the following week? It has to, right? If Florida wins and remains undefeated, Florida @ LSU SHOULD BE the easiest pick for Gameday that week. I think we may have a better chance, owever, if AU can stay undefeated through Florida, and get Gameday on 10/26.
A lot is hypothetical, but Florida/AU/LSU all being undefeated by October 5 could easily happen. With how much love LSU has been getting on ESPN lately, you know they want to be there for a game, just have to hope it plays out in our favor.

Red river rivalry that week. And Jalen Hurts is the story theyll likely run with for 3 hours.

Would they give LSU 3 Gamedays though?
Assuming they will be Tuscaloosa in November, and they were just in Austin, your hypothetical would mean a third Gameday for LSU.
Maybe they would, but I doubt it.
ETA: We may not host this year at all, but looking ahead, we could very possibly host against Texas AND Alabama next year, depending on the circumstances. Just a thought.

Curious to how many times a team has been on Gameday twice in a season. At home, then at an away game? I just hope they can make it down there for one of our big games.
COMPLETELY forgot Gameday was just their for LSU/TX. Gameday not making it to Baton Rouge is bad for College Football. Best Gameday experience there is.

Not to mention USC Notre Dame, Wisconsin MSU, Bama A&M.
Dont be surprised if we dont get picked.

LSU @ Bama will probably be CGD thus leaving me to believe we will not host.

Doesn't seem like it's near as good as it used to be when in BR.
It isn't going to happen this season in BR.

I think an undefeated, top 10 matchup of LSU and Auburn could get it.
Especially if Texas and Oregon are handling teams at that point also.
On top of how close the game was last year and how it ended. They'd def at least give in consideration

None of them were at home though
I don't think them doing to 2 road games with LSU would stop them coming here if they had the chance. Not sure we would have a good enough matchup though

Crazy to think that in 2011, LSU was in 5 college gamedays and none of them were on campus.

I talked to someone who works for gameday at the airport on the way to the game.
If both LSU and Florida are undefeated, they'll most likely be coming to Baton Rouge. If not, I'd expect Texas-Oklahoma.

Why not TAM. Anyway game day for LSU Florida all depends on the other games

Did not know that. That is insane.

If the winner of Florida and Auburn are undefeated at that point it's a top 10 matchup either way probably. But I think there are more positives for Auburn over Florida just based on who they've already beat and last years game.

TAM has already lost, and will likely lose a few more before the last game of the season. Just dont see them coming here for that one.

They actually came to Alabama twice in 2/3 weeks in 2014 I want to say. I believe since then they've come to Alabama twice in a season at least 2 times.
ETA: They went to Alabama 4 times between 2014 and 2015. jesus.

In 2011, LSU was on GameDay 5 times and never hosted, thrice in the regular season and twice in the postseason.
Edi to add: On the topic it at hand, while LSU and the SEC are big deals to us, and rightfully so, they do like to spread the love around. No guarantee they'd show up down here even if we have the biggest game on paper that weekend.

We had 4 in 2011
LSU-Oregon
LSU-WVU
LSU-Alabama
LSU-UGA
All on the road or at Neutral Sites.

I think a bigger question is I think both the fLA/ AU games will be on cbs. Game day tends to shy away from cbs games.... you think they are going to UGA for the ND game?????? How can they pass that up?????
