Ed Orgeron has changed LSU’s perception nationally in a captivating way

We’ve gone from a consistently struggling offense that the media described as “the Stone Age” to being the talk of ESPN, College Gameday, and any other interview on ESPN platforms that I’ve seen. If we were getting these recruits before, I couldn’t imagine how recruits feel about playing for us now after this positive press. Miles was killing this program, and you could tell with Feleipe said he wanted to play for a “real offense” and Brandon Harris saying “you smart” when Tyron Johnson transferred out. Things were getting bad. The same media that defended Les is now saying how bad his offense was.
Orgeron, especially when he is winning, is a likable personality, and he is addressing his weaknesses and shows he learned from his past mistakes when he answers questions honestly in his pressers. It’s a breath of fresh air from the previous regime where nobody knew what Les was trying to say or what he was thinking.
Someone on SEC rant described him as a Cajun Dabo Swinney. I think he’s going that direction and is doing significantly better than other new coaches like Pruitt, taggart, etc. I’m glad to have him right now and hope this year meets the expectations. We’re on our way.

Yeah I think Cajun Dabo is pretty accurate. They both just know how to run a team, know their own strengths/weaknesses, and then address them. Dabo is doing some crazy stuff at Clemson. Their current recruiting class is other worldly.

So you're not a vocal, outgoing CEO hater anymore, Schwartzy?

“the Stone Age”
that term got old in one afternoon, it's not as dramatic as all of the talking heads make it out to be, I'm glad for the change, and I hope it's the way of our future, but in reality, we've had success with our "stone age" ways that the majority of the programs in the country envy
ETA: major shocker from last week is that it was the offense bailing out the defense for once, it has been the stone ages since that happened I hope the tx defense was that good because in the second half we were able to almost score at will against them(and Lord knows they torched us,) if they were that good, our offense will be wrecking shite for the rest of the year

Can’t expect more he’s 100% moving in right direction

Turns out Special Ed is truly special. So happy for him. He has made many good decisions over the past year. All leading to a much improved offense, which is something every Tiger fan was dying to see.
We need to continue improving, but I know the coaches are dedicated and learning from mistakes. The players seem to have the chemistry to make a deep run, and I’m loving it.

What's also refreshing, is it feels like they are trying to please the fans. Obviously, winning cures a lot, but it seems like they listened to fans pleas from the past several years. Upgraded offense, facilities improvements, beer in stadium, Alleva gone now Woodward in the house, etc.

This is a stretch, the SEC started allowing it.

I would take it one step further and go so far as to say that Ed is actually listening to the fans. These things that we are seeing are all things that we as fans wanted to see...

and it's about time, and not just LSU, seems like a lot of programs have started to get a little more fan friendly, or at least are giving it lip service, one of the reasons I quit TAF, and I was one of the original members was the cavalier, almost mafia like treatment of the people that were putting up the money, and I used to put up some pretty decent coin, it became almost extortion to be a fan

Woodward and Verge are TRUE tiger fans. These guys bleed tiger colors so it's not surprising they have the fans best interest. It's just finally good to actually see it.
And I've heard Alleva was a big part of the beer sales push in Tiger Stadium.
Interestingly put as it seems the access to viewing any game at any time has made it more difficult so the reality is making the fan experience better should have been a higher priority long ago.

Honestly it's hard to play the "everyone hates us" card considering the media love we've received this week. You would have thought we beat Texas by 20+ the way the.

Fair, but we still implemented it.

If hope that Eddy wasn’t listening to the fans too much. He’s the head coach for a reason.

Orgeron is not listening to fans except in passing. He had experience with leading offenses at Miami and USC. Making the commitment to the RPO spread took courage
Orgeron and LSU is trying to win. He finally got a QB who can make a play and got the O line upgraded enough. Then had the courage to make a full commitment to the RPO/spread.
When he took over LSU roster talent level had declined especially on the line of scrimmage. And we had a journeyman QB plus Harris who could not call the plays and sets or complete a pass.

Always was the model we were going for, and it looks like it's working out.
Dabo was a laughingstock when he was hired, and three years into his tenure it looked like he'd remain that way.
Narratives are constantly being re-written in sports, and perception can change with just one win.
Need O to keep it up but he's done a good job of changing the perception so far.

LSU fans are so insecure about Orgeron they have to continue to bash the best coach LSU has had.
You've basically just made shite up. He doesn't answer honestly, it's called coach speak. You can't understand what he's saying half the time and he still sold us on Canada and then Ensminger being the best Ocs in the country.
Everything is looking great rt now, and like you said, he's winning. We've got a freaking easy stretch of games and then hit the gauntlet. Let's hope they can keep it rolling.
