I'd rank it right there with UGA and Alabama loud. It wasn't LSU, Auburn, or Florida loud. louder than A&M too actually (no troll). I was surprised given its reputation of being a morgue
I'll just say the fans around me were not a contributing factor. their big donor seats had plenty of "wtf sit down" folk who tried to butt heads, but I paid way too much for that seat. so i politely told them to sttdb

Nailed it. Was in lower bowl west side.

Sat Southwest corner lower bowl. I agree with above - UF, Auburn def louder, but fans around the stadium much louder than our surrounding UT fans. We had UT fans giving us the eye saying "hold them defense". Then the obligatory UT fan saying "suck my dick" to the tune of "LSU" on first down. Guys was like 60 - smh.
As seen on TV multiple LSU guys came out shirtless to warm-up. Didn't know at the time, but must have been in protest to how hot that locker room was. They ran right through UT warm-ups, there was a small scuffle, and yes loved seeing them drink their water.
They literally had a carnival outside the stadium. Like carnie girls swinging on shite and everything. Kind of weird, kind of cool. Not sure how I felt about it. Cool Texas experience I guess.
Anyways, props to UT student section for really showing up and very loud on east side. They sat in sun for hours before kickoff. For the most part they were right behind the LSU bench - hence the nice wave Burrow gave at the end.
As mentioned above that cannon is LOUD and props to LSU for not muffing punts or kickoffs. I couldn't imagine how loud that was for them down there. Savvy student athlete prob has a lawsuit in the making for hearing loss.
UT fan next to me was hitting on BMI richter scale. Left my seat to go back down to buy a $10 seat back and placed in middle of my seat to keep him honest. Great investment.
His family member to his right, LSU fan, was on the other side and literally passed out from his body heat. Big boy was no where to be found and I was left helping this sweet lady who didn't drink, just passed out from 100% Texas humidity and habitus.
Overall, great experience - fans overall were nice. Tailgating nowhere near LSU, and not even close. Campus was ok, not impressed by any means. Stadium was very pretty, very much Texas with displaying their talent of cheap labor with brick veneer. City was fun, homeless everywhere, literally stepped over them walking from 6th street. Hippies everywhere, but that didn't bother me, but their body odor on the plane ride in did.
Absolutely loved seeing the band come out the stadium full pride playing their hearts out as LSPD pushed UT fans out of the way. Those kids also deserve praise for being up there in that hot upper east side playing hard until the end - lots of pride!

Yeah I agree with this. Mingo almost got his arse whooped by a 60 year old man with about 2 minutes left in the game for standing up
