H1Z1 had it as well. It's kind of necessary to have bloom in a 3rd person shooter. With no recoil and being solely hitscan, it would make gun play way too easy and every gun be an absolute laser
They would have to place some hard distance limits per gun if they were to remove bloom

It makes more sense to have damage drop off and bullet projectile than bloom, at least from a comp perspective.
The fact that you can have perfect accuracy and still miss through no fault of your own cheapens it, in my opinion.
