Defensive issues still need to be addressed but Ehlinger is also a special talent in a scheme he knows really well. Some of the plays he was making reminded me of Patrick Mahomes from a few years back.

Only 1 that LSU will play - Tua. And I don't expect Tua to want to run much like Ehlinger. Mond is good at times, but sucks at times too like yesterday.

Ehlinger certainly played well, but to me it seemed like their backs/WRs were stout and difficult to take down. Some plays our guys looked like kids bouncing off of them when we were unable to wrap up.

We have got to improve our tackling. Period.

We missed several tackles especially on the running back.

Ehlinger will the second best qb we face outside Tua. But Fla, Aub, Bama, A&M, and MSU will all have better defenses than Texas so it’s kind of a wash.

Get ready for a shootout with the gumps then because Tua will go for 400 easily

Was a little worrisome that their 3rd string qb turned RB ( first time he played RB since 5th grade) was able to get some good yards against us and move the chains

I think I’m actually ready to see this.

Yes to the defenses of the teams you list. Florida and Bama the only ones that will really challenge us

Tua and his WR Jeudy are better. But we'll see about their depth

Ehlinger killed us on the intermediate passes. Tua is more of a threat on the deep ball, which I think we do a better job of defending. That being said, I believe that Ehlinger will be the toughest QB we face all year. That kid is tough as nails and won me over. Hard to not like him.

You guys will go back to allowing 10 PPG against SEC offenses.. the difference is you’ll now score 45

I was impressed by ehlinger

He’s a damn good QB and a tough competitor. You could see he was crushed at the end of the game. Wasn’t his fault Texas lost though, that’s for sure

Yep. And a few times we had perfect coverage and he somehow fit it in there perfectly (like that one for a TD where after the catch the LSU defender was still trying to wrestle the ball away because he was right on it). Ehlinger was awesome last night even when we had good coverage.

He hadn't played RB, but was the QB on a running team. Which sounds like he is a running back who can throw.

C'mon people, this is Texas we're talking about. You don't seriously think they had FCS talent, do you?

His offensive line gave him just enough time to roll out and find these crevices. He was video game like. Probably what Texas fans think about Burrow.
