Does it seem like the national narrative is that Ehlinger will be able to win this game

All on his own?
It seems like that. They’re down to 1 scholarship RB and a kid that’s been learning the position for just 3 weeks. On top of Ehlinger, the 2 WRs will torch the secondary. 3 guys are going to beat this defense? I’m just not understanding it. Does someone step up?
1 scholarship RB, a true freshman learning the position for a couple weeks.
8 new starters on defense.
Double digit LSU win. I don’t ever want to post and come off as arrogant considering the history with this offense, but I just don’t see anything else going down.

Honestly, the only person I've seen pick Texas to win is Emmanuel Acho and he's a Texas alum.

It is the perfect set up for the "massive" upset that ESPN is foaming at the mouth to write up.

Yeah, most predictions and the Vegas money seem to be on the good guys up to this point.

I get the confidence and feel the same. But I’m gonna temper my expectations because anything can happen. We might play like shite. I doubt it, but I wouldn’t bet my house on a blowout ffs. We more than likely will see a close game that can go either way.

No clue as I don’t listen to all of the experts, but I hope Ehlingsr does and he is freaking out right now.

Yesterday on College Football Live, Jonathon Vilma put together highlights of how bad Ehlinger has been in the OOC games in the past and he hasn't seen a defense like that. I fully expect a double digit win.

It's not the craziest thing in the world to think Texas will win this game.
HOWEVER............... football almost always comes down to match ups and LSU wins at almost every position. You can talk about their WRs but as unit they are not better than this LSU secondary. I just can't make myself see where Texas has an advantage anywhere.

I have avoided all the talk about this game, but Ehlinger is a damn good QB. I watched them play Oklahoma and that guy is a big part of why they won. Of course he now faces a defense like he has not seen before, we will see what he can do, but in my opinion it won’t be enough.

Do you expect the TV powers to come out and say "LSU will likely dominate, don't bother watching"? They have done their best to find an interesting angle and Ehlinger is the best they could come up with...
That said, Texas has no chance if Ehlinger doesn't have an exceptional game.

This sounds just like it did when we were facing Lamar Jackson.

I've seen more national writers at ESPN, Sporting News, etc. pick Texas than Texas-based sports writers (where no one seems to be picking them, and in fact LSU will cover).
Of course the local media has just heard Herman whine about the RB situation for a month now.

Interesting
Herbstreet set himself up to pick Texas when he said they would be in the playoffs.
He's seen both teams now, it will be interesting to see if his opinion has already changed.

Herbie is calling the game and won't make a pick.

Wouldn’t call -6 a massive upset if it happened but I think most that watched both games know that if both A teams show LSU will win by 10+

This is going to be a good game, anyone who thinks other wise is foolish.

Don't mean to redirect this thread, but is he a mainstay or a "special guest"? I haven't caught CFL yet this season.
