1) Emery is disgusting in space. I promise you we have some plays for him waiting for next week.

2) Burrows comments on scoring 40, 50, 60 were not out of his arse. This offense can ball.

3) Orgeron finall finally FINALLY learned that you simply cannot play it safe against these weaker teams. You crush them early and rest your starters.

4) The defense is better than we thought. There was absolutely zero space for Southern. Texas runs a lot of veer and option variants and they will be stopped dead.

5) That boy stingley is good.

6) Texas is fricked.

Did I miss anything?

Special teams looked great.

Offensive line in pass pro was much improved.

Burrow's much improved at the check down game.

Rosenthal is still very raw. Not even close to being ready for the rigor of SEC play. I actually thought Cameron Wire played better. Hope LT is not our achilles heel this year.

1. Burrow is good. Not just the normal “the rant thinks he is good”good but a legit heisman contender. His ability to scan the field and makes quick decisions will make him a LSU legend before the end of the year.

2. Defense is getting more penetration, hard to really quantify based on that bullshite offense but there were people in the backfield every play which was a delight to see

3. Marshall and Chase could be the best receiving duo in the sec. They are both really fricking good

4. Chaisson was worth the wait. The guy was a heat seeking missile all night and will give teams fits all year.

I didn't see any whiffed blocks from the o-line and having no sacks on the day is a huge help. A few knockdowns yes, but it was encouraging that they can finally have a consistent line. I think the first series was indicative of being able to get enough protection to allows TEs (Moss) to be utilized effectively in the passing game.

My main takeaway is this: while there is no guarantee of a win next week in Austin, ain't no way LSU is gonna get pushed around on either side of the ball.

Chaisson is an absolute terror on the field and was one of our missing pieces last year.

We don't seem to have a weakness.

Rosenberg had 3 punts and all were 50+.

And we'll probably get some starters back for next week.

Just further proof it’s a lot harder to rush the passer when you don’t know where the ball is going.

Chaisson is going to injure many opposing players this year. My goodness.

Burrow sold the crash screen over the middle as well as I've ever seen in any level of football. I was even screaming at the OL until I realized what had happened and the wife politely asked me to sit back down

The screen passes were dramatically better as well

Last year we couldn't execute screens well
