The stupidity of that comment makes me question the legitimacy of these supposed “coaches.” I suspect some writer is claiming anonymous “sources” as a means of spouting his own stupid opinion.
That's what I was thinking as well. I don't know who the hell they would have asked, as far as coaches go, that would say some dumb shite like that.

My guess would be Mullen. There was a lot of buzz in C'bus that Burrow had interest in Florida but that Mullen didn't want to take the chance of pissing off Meyer, and didn't make any effort to sign Burrow.

The comment about Aranda will most definitely ruffle a few feathers.

And neither is Tua. Hate to break the hearts of Bama fans but Tua will never play on Sundays for any lenght of time if at all.

That’s just a false statement, no need to be jealous. If Tua played for LSU you wouldn’t be saying that. I love Burrow but Tua is a really good QB and better than Burrow.

He watches Burrow all last year set LSU records, and this is the lame shite analysis that he comes up with? Sounds like a meathead GA instead of a coach. Just goes to show you, you don’t have to be a genius to coach football.

By the end of the season, Burrow will be saying to all the naysayers:

even the most critical were in the 8-4+ range, which was more than the pundits were predicting.

You made that pick in August right? Most of the pundits picking 6-6, 7-5 were making that pick in the spring. What gets me about LE and this crowd that thinks last year proves the critics were WRONG is they act like a) there weren't legitimate concerns and b) that nothing changed. Frankly the 2018 offseason was not great, lowest ranked recruiting class in some time, less than inspiring staff changes, questions on the roster and major questions on offense. From the Troy game until Burrow signed things definitely looked like they were trending in the wrong direction. Please note, that does NOT mean that there was literally no positive news Lester, but overall it was a bad stretch.

That said, the signing of Burrow made a massive difference. And anyone that thinks the team would have been 9-3 without him is kidding themselves. . They were lucky a guy like Burrow as available, but they seized the opportunity and got him, IIRC Tracy was also signed around that time.It is too Orgeron's credit that things turned around. Since June of last year the "behind the scenes" stuff has been much better. The season went better than expected (I too thought 8-4) with a top 10 finish, great recruiting class, better staff moves, positive momentum with a great 2020 lined up. Now its time to show on the field and improve on last season.

What does this mean?

Any length of time? He's going to be a top 10 pick and he is going to start some NFL games. That's written in stone. How good he'll be is another story.

No they didn't. Brady was projected to go in the 2nd or 3rd round going into the draft.

Was that after his first year as a starter?

That must be it, it couldn’t be you are a blind homer now could it

BTW what records did Burrow set? Wasn’t yards or TDs certainly not completion percentage. Maybe a game record in the 7OT A&M game? There’s a tweet going around comparing JB and Franks vs 5 top 30 defenses and Burrows numbers were bad And spare me the he was new, The OL and WR sucked blah blah his numbers were not great. None of that means he can’t have a great even record setting season this year season of course but let’s quit acting like his performance was beyond criticism

I think that JB will have a monster year with a quick passing game. I think that finally we will utilize the athletes to their strengths. Joe's offensive schemes will evolve during the year. E is a good guy but not suited for OC. Nothing against E at all. He's been great for LSU. Now will be the year for an upgrade, it happens.
I also think that JB will show that he is a better qb than the bama qb's pre Hurts. So this jealous jass that judges JB based on his draft status just better go ahead and take his ball and go away.

So how many national championship quarterbacks since 2010 are starting in the NFL? How many are on a roster?

Dumb argument is dumb.

I hope people keep underestimating Joe and saying he’s overrated. Just makes it more fun to watch him win. Guy is straight money.

3, 1 of which was league MVP and went to a SB but 2 others are still in college and likely to be the next 2 #1 picks. ETA if Tua and Lawrence do get drafted #1, that would 4 National Title winners that go #1 over all

4 of the 6 that are out of college in that span
