It definitely is a New Orleans thing to whine about old hurricanes.

When I was at LSU in the late 90's you'd go down to New Orleans and they were still whining about Hurricane Betsy from the 60's. Still crying about it 35 years later. "The water was this high".

Get over it. Now they doing the same with Katrina 15 years on and they still cry like the old ladies at Rocky and Carlo's.

I can see NYC still in shock over Sandy because its rare but c'mon New Orleans, act like you've been there before.

Some weird NOLA psyche of woe. They just dwell on the past and say how great the city would've been if no Katrina. It was a hell hole of corruption, murder and crime before K-ville and now in 2020. It's not like Amazon would've opened up HQ down there and you'd have 3 more Super Bowl wins if Katrina never was.

The rest of the gulf coast handles their shite like men. Fact.

The katrina disaster in New Orleans was not your typical hurricane disaster. It's a fricking miracle the city rebuilt.

As a Mississippi resident I understand your point, but I dont think that disparaging the NOLA folks is helpful. Everyone was impacted in different ways and went about it differently. We all have the scars.

Everyone I know that experiences Katrina has to “one-up” someone else’s Katrina story. I’m from this area and I am sick of it. Get the frick over it.
